Gyan Jyoty school encourage children from extreme backward area to go to school. We have pledged to provide school uniform to 180 underprivileged children. According to a a study by National Sample Survey Office, roughly 32 Million children below the age of 13 Years have never been to a school. Most of them are hit by poverty, in turn suffering from a lack of resources and sometimes, due to negligence of the family.
These children usually tend to start working to earn daily bread for themselves or their family. A large number of children dream of going to a school. The lack of basic amenities like Books, Uniform and access to a school plays a major resistance to their dream.
Water is a fundamental human need. It is estimated that one person needs 10-40 litres of clean, safe water a day for drinking, cooking, washing, and personal hygiene. Access to clean water is a step towards improving living standards. Education suffers when sick children miss school. Economic opportunities are routinely lost to the impacts of rampant illness and the time-consuming processes of acquiring water where it is not readily available. Children and women bear the brunt of these burdens.
After reading and examine all these issues Richards decided to donate a water Purifier to school so children can dring clean water. We are very thanful to him for his best gift for children, teachears and staffs.
I want to extend my sincere gratitude to our generous donors Henry, Lotta, Marita, Max Maria, Micke Fredrik and Heena for your great contribution of donating cycles to students of Gyan Jyoty Project. Your generous gift will have a major impact on helping unprivileged children.
On behalf of entire children and team of school, I want to express our gratitude for your donation and i want to thank you for helping us make a positive difference. Your support encourages our continued commitment to reaching our goal.
Thanks again for your generosity and support.

“The mid-day meal program is not just about food. It’s about education, it’s about hunger, it’s about poverty, it’s about childhood.” – Gyan Jyoty Project, providing mid-day meals to students has been a long-standing initiative to address malnutrition, improve attendance, and enhance academic performance.A full plate of food filled with the goodness of nutrients is nourishing, gives one strength; both bodily and mental, keeps one active and free from diseases. One of the most important aspect for any kind of development is taking care of children, enabling them to grow up healthy. But the prevailing situation in India speaks otherwise, we have constantly failed to provide the most basic care to our children, providing healthy meals to them which results in stunted growth, malnourishment etc.
We are very pleased to inform that we have distributed cycles to some studenst of Gyan Jyoty Project. It will help some students to reach the school on time. It is given to those studenst who comes to school from different village which is 7 to 8 km far from school. We look forward to distribute it to more children as soon as we get more funds for the distribution of cycles. It gives great pleasure and joys to studenst who received it and brings more excitement and inspire them to study hard and come to school everday.
We are very happy to announce that we have installed hand pump to village where there is scarcity of water during summer season and people are unable to drink clean water. Where there is water, there is life. A reliable source of clean water is necessary to grow nutritious food and to lead a healthy life. But climate change is wreaking havoc on rainfall patterns and causing surface water to be lost to evaporation. Sometimes there is not enough water, and other times there is too much. Now, even farmers who have always been able to rely on predictable rainfall are having to adapt as climate patterns shift.
Note-books and stationary material like pen, pencil, eraser and sharpener are important for offline education. Many of the parents from poor families unable to provide this material to their children, due to the economic impact on their livelihood and earnings. As a result of this, such children are at risk of remaining uneducated or undereducated. Many children from underprivileged areas don’t have the opportunity to go to school for the simple reason that they don’t have sufficient supply of notebooks. Gyan Jyoty not only provide education but also provide all the basic needs of education

Thank you for donating blankets. All the blankets were distributed to old age and homeless people on the streets of Bodhgaya and Sujata Village. It can get very cold and chilly at night during winters. Many homeless people have nothing to cover themselves with. They suffer and then catch fever most of the time because of the cold. You can ease their suffering by donating a blanket.
